Start with your anchor
Choose trousers you already enjoy wearing: straight-leg denim, chinos or tailored trousers. Set them out with your available shoes and tops. The aim is to change the mood through layers, texture and finishing details, rather than replace your whole wardrobe.
01 / An easy weekend
Try a plain T-shirt, open overshirt and clean sneakers. Roll sleeves if you like a more relaxed finish. Keep one color in common between the overshirt and trousers, then use a cap or bag for a small point of contrast.
02 / A polished workday
Swap the T-shirt for an Oxford shirt or fine knit. Add a blazer or structured jacket if your workplace suits it. Loafers, derbies or understated sneakers can work depending on the dress code. Check the trouser break with the shoes you choose.
03 / An evening out
Choose a textured knit or softly draped shirt, then simplify the accessories. A tonal top and trousers can make different fabrics stand out. Finish with your preferred boots or loafers. Photograph each version so the next outfit decision is easier.
